Also opening nationwide is the animated feature The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepantsis directed by Derek Drymon and starring Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Mr. Lawrence, Carolyn Lawrence, Regina Hall, Arturo Castro, Sherry Cola, Ice Spice (who also performs the original song Big Guy, released as digital single last month), George Lopez and Mark Hamill. Opening in select U.S. theaters this weekend is the Tunisian/French drama The Voice of Hind Rajab written and directed by Kaouther Ben Hania and starring Saja Kilani, Motaz Malhees, Clara Khoury and Amer Hlehel. The film’s original music is composed by Amine Bouhafa (Timbuktu, Four Daughters, Beauty and the Dogs, Ad Vitam, The Man Who Sold His Skin, The Little Sister, Gagarine). No soundtrack album has been released yet. The movie, which tells the true story of a Palestinian girl trapped in a car under Israeli military fire, and the first responders who tried to save her, has been selected (and shortlisted) as the Tunisian entry in the International Feature category for next year’s Academy Awards. The drama premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival and is being distributed by WILLA.
