Composer Daniel Wohl (Project Blue Book, On the Come Up, Search Party,The Weekend Away, The Stand In) is reuniting with director Morgan Neville (Won’t You Be My Neighbor, 20 Feet from Stardom) on the new Netflix original documentary Breakdown: 1975. The film is narrated by Jodie Foster and centers on the year 1975 as America faced social and political upheaval and filmmakers turned chaos into art. The movie explores how a turbulent era gave rise to iconic movies such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Taxi Driver and Network. Neville is also producing the project with Lauren Belfer (Thank You Very Much, Spermworld). Wohl has previously collaborated with Neville on the features The Saint of Second Chances & They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead and lApple TV+ STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces. Breakdown 1975: will premiere this Friday, December 19 exclusively on Netflix.
