Milan Records will release the official score album for the drama Hedda. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker, Women Talking, Chernobyl, Tar, A Haunting in Venice, Sicario: Day of the Soldado). Also included is the original song Stolen Tale written by the composer and director Nia DaCosta and performed by Mariam Wallentin. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to to the first score track and the song below. The label will also release a separate soundtrack EP featuring four more songs from the movie on the same day. Hedda is written and directed by DaCosta and stars Tessa Thompson, Nina Hoss, Imogen Poots, Nicholas Pinnock and Tom Bateman. The reimagining of Henrik Ibsen’s classic play of the same name follows the enigmatic newlywed title character who is outwardly composed but hiding a simmering discontent that threatens to explode when the brilliant and charismatic Eileen Lovberg reenters her life.The drama premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival will be released in select theaters tomorrow before making its streaming debut next Wednesday, October 29 on Prime Video.
