Faction Records has released a soundtrack album for the Irish drama Christy. The album features the film’s original score composed by Daithi (Lakelands). Also included are songs by Murli, Bony, Citrus Fresh, Hazey Haze, Strange Boy, Rira, Issac Nelson and Kabin Crew. Christy is directed by Brendan Canty and stars Danny Power, Diarmuid Noyes, Emma Willis, Lewis Brophy, Chris Walley, Alison Oliver and Helen Behan. The movie revolves around a 17-year-old who gets thrown out of his comfortable suburban foster home and moves in with his estranged older brother in a rough part of the Irish town of Cork. The drama premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and will be released in Irish theaters on August 29 and in British theaters on September 4.
