Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British adventure series Nautilus developed by Xavier Marchand & Anand Tucker inspired by Jules Verne’s classic novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and starring Shazad Latif, Georgia Flood, Céline Menville and Thierry Fremont. The show’s original music is composed by Nainita Desai (The Deepest BreathFor Sama, Secrets of the Penguins, The TowerCrossfireTales of Kenzera: ZAU, The Reason I Jump, Funny Woman). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the premiered in the UK on Prime Video. Premiering on Wednesday, July 2, is the action comedy Heads of State directed by Ilya Naishuller and starring Idris Elba, John Cena, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle and Paddy Considine. Steven Price (Gravity, Last Night in Soho, Fury, Our Planet, Over the Moon, Suicide SquadBaby DriverThe World’s End) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be announced soon. Also premiering on Wednesday is the Netflix original film The Old Guard 2 directed by Victoria Mahoney and starring Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Uma Thurman, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Veronica Ngô, Luca Marinelli and Henry Golding. The movie’s original score is composed by Ruth Barrett (Bodyguard, Victoria, The Terminal List, The Decameron, Sanditon) & Steffen Thum (CrawlSlingshotBetrayal, Stockholm Bloodbath) and produced by Lorne Balfe. A soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music will be released on Wednesday. Also premiering on Wednesday is the family adventure Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado directed by Alberto Belli, written by JT Billings and starring Samantha Lorrain, Jacob Rodriguez, Mariana Garzón Toro, Daniella Pineda, Acston Luca Porto and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias. Kenny Wood (The Naughty Nine, GatloppGo for It!) has composed the film’s original score. The movie, which follows the title character and her friends as they trek through Amazonian jungle in search of the ancient treasure of Sol Dorado to prevent it from falling into enemy hands, will air on Nickelodeon and will also be available to stream on Paramount+.
