Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the action comedy Freaky Tales. The album features the film’s original music composed by Raphael Saadiq (Lovecraft Country, Insecure, Underground, 61st Street, Black Nativity, The After Party). Also included is the movie’s title song written by Todd Shaw and performed by Symba. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Freaky Tales is written and directed by Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden and stars Pedro Pascal, Ben Mendelsohn, Jay Ellis, Angus Cloud, Normani, Dominique Thorne and Jack Champion. The movie is set in 1987 Oakland and follows an NBA star, a corrupt cop, teen punks, a female rap duo, neo-Nazis, and a debt collector on a collision course in a fever dream of showdowns and battles. The comedy premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and was released in theaters last weekend by Lionsgate.
