Blair Mowat (Nolly, Class, Doctor Jekyll, McDonald & Dodds, Black Dog, Electric Man, After the Flood) has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Becoming Hitchcock – The Legacy of Blackmail. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the composer’s first two tracks below. Becoming Hitchcock – The Legacy of Blackmail is directed by Laurent Bouzereau, narrated by Elvis Mitchell and reflects the development of Alfred Hitchcock’s signature style, through the making of one of his benchmark films, 1929’s Blackmail. The movie highlights the birth of the “Hitchcock Touch” at a period when talking pictures first emerged and reveals how this film also foreshadows the director’s later masterpieces. The Studiocanal production premiered at last year’s Festival Lumiere and made its U.S. debut this past January on TCM.
