Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1977 Canadian sci-fi movie Starship Invasions written and directed by Ed Hunt and starring Robert Vaughn, Christopher Lee, Daniel Pilon, Tiiu Leek and Helen Shaver. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Gil Mellé (The Andromeda Strain, The SentinelNight Gallery, BorderlineThe Organization). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more information about the release. A digital version is expected to be available on all major digital music services in the coming months. Starship Invasions first opened in U.S. and Canadian theaters in 1977 and was released in several international markets under the title Project Genocide.

The label’s other new releases include a reissue of the soundtrack album for Steven Lisberger’s 1989 sci-fi feature Slipstream featuring music composed by Elmer Bernstein and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and Star Trek: A Symphonic Celebration (previously released by Label X) featuring music from Star Trek: The Original Series composed by Sol Kaplan, Samuel Matlovsky, Jerry Fielding, Joseph Mullendore & George Duning and performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Tony Bremner.
