Joseph Trapanese (The Witcher, Oblivion, The Greatest Showman, Shadow and Bone, Straight Outta Compton, Brilliant Minds, The Raid: Redemption, Project Power) has composed the original music for the upcoming action thriller G20. The film is directed by Patricia Riggen (Miracles from Heaven, The 33) and stars Viola Davis, Anthony Anderson, Marsai Martin, Ramón Rodríguez, Elizabeth Marvel, Douglas Hodge, Sabrina Impacciatore, Christopher Farrar and Antony Starr. The movie follows the U.S. President who becomes the number one target when the G20 summit comes under siege and must outsmart the enemy to protect her family, defend her country and safeguard world leaders. Caitlin Parrish & Erica Weiss (The Red Line) and Logan Miller & Noah Miller (White Boy Rick, Touching Home) wrote the screenplay. Davis is also producing the project with Andrew Lazar (American Sniper, 10 Things I Hate About You) and Julius Tennon (The Woman King, The First Lady). G20 will premiere on April 10, 2025 on Prime Video.
Trapanese has also recently scored the Netflix anime film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, which just premiered today and also continues to score the streamer’s live-action The Witcher series, which will return for its fourth season this year.
