Skyverse WOTR has released a soundtrack album for the Nordic Disney+/Hulu limited series Whiskey on the Rocks. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Jonas Wikstrand (The Evil Next Door, Take the Night, Super Charlie). Whiskey on the Rocks is written by Henrik Jansson-Schweizer based on a story by Jonas Jonasson, directed by Björn Stein and stars Rolf Lassgård, Elsa Saisio, Anders Mossling, Niklas Engdahl, Filip Berg, Adam Lundgren, Kęstutis Stasys Jakštas and Mark Noble. The political satire tells the true story of how Sweden’s prime minister, Thorbjörn Fälldin, faced the immense challenge of keeping peace between Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and U.S. President Ronald Reagan when a Soviet nuclear Whiskey class submarine was spotted inside a restricted Swedish military area in 1981.The series premiered on Swedish television over the holidays and will make its U.S. debut on January 22 on Hulu and in select international markets on the same day on Disney+.
