Miasmah Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish horror thriller From Darkness (Ur mörkret). The album features the film’s original music composed by Erik K Skodvin (Darling, Schächten, Anbessa). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. From Darkness is directed by Philip W. da Silva and stars Oscar Skagerberg, Rakel Benér Gajdusek, Peter Mörlin and Archana Khanna. The movie follows a park ranger who seeks the help of her former boyfriend to search for a missing woman in a dangerous nature reserve, complicated by a disturbing myth about the Cave Banshee, a vengeful spirit from Nordic folklore that once lured miners to their deaths. The thriller opened in Swedish theaters and premiered at various international film festivals last year. No word yet on a domestic release.
