Sydney-based singer/songwriter Nick Ward has made his feature scoring debut on the upcoming drama Jimpa. The film is directed by Sophie Hyde (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, 52 Tuesdays) and stars Olivia Colman, John Lithgow and Aud Mason-Hyde. The movie follows a mother who takes her nonbinary teenager to Amsterdam to visit their gay grandfather and is forced to reconsider her beliefs about parenting and finally confront old stories about the past. Hyde also co-wrote the screenplay with Matthew Cormack (The Hunting). She is also producing the project with Liam Heyen, Bryan Mason and  Marleen Slot (Dirty God, Rojo). Jimpa will premiere later this month at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
