MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the Viaplay original series End of Summer (Slutet på sommaren). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Matti Bye (Young Royals, Tove, The 101-Year-Old Man Who Skipped Out on the Bill and Disappeared, Young Wallander, Everlasting Moments, A Serious Game). End of Summer is written by Stefan Thunberg & Björn Carlström based on the crime novels by former police officer Anders de la Motte and stars Julia Ragnarsson, Erik Enge, Vilhelm Blomgren, Henrik Norlén and Torkel Petersson. The 6-part psychological thriller directed by Jens Jonsson & Henrik Georgsson follows a woman who meets a hauntingly familiar young man, which forces her to unravel the truth behind the disappearance of her brother in rural southern Sweden twenty years earlier. The series premiered in Nordic markets in late 2023 and made its U.S. debut this past September on Viaplay.
