Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Italian Netflix original film The Children’s Train (Il Treno dei Bambini). The album features the movie’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Nicola Piovani (Life Is Beautiful, The Tiger and the Snow, The Traitor, The Best Years, Pinocchio, Hungry Hearts). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. The Children’s Train is directed by Cristina Comencini and stars Barbara Ronchi, Serena Rossi, Christian Cervone, Francesco Di Leva, Stefano Accorsi and Antonia Truppo. The drama based on Viola Ardone’s novel of the same title is set in late 1940s Italy and tells the story of a mother who makes the difficult decision to send her son to the north, where he catches glimpses of a new life away from poverty. The movie premiered at this year’s Rome Film Festival and has just made its streaming debut this past Wednesday on Netflix.
