Adam King (Strays, Kim’s Convenience, Popularity Papers) has composed the original music for the new MGM+ limited series Earth Abides. The show is developed by Todd Komarnicki (Sully, Bonhoeffer: Pastor. Spy. Assassin.) based on George R. Stewart’s classic sci-fi novel of the same name and stars Alexander Ludwig, Jessica Frances Dukes, Aaron Tveit, Elyse Levesque, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, Luisa D’Oliveira, Hilary McCormack, Birkett Turton and Jenna Berman. The post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama takes place after a plague of unprecedented virulence sweeps the globe and the human race is all but wiped out and follows a few shattered survivors who remain to struggle against the slide into extinction. Komarnicki is also executive producing the project with Kearie Peak (Leverage), Michael Phillips (Close Encounter of the Third Kind, Taxi Driver) and Juliana Maio. Earth Abides will premiere this Sunday, December 1 on MGM+.
