Königskinder will release a soundtrack album for the historical drama September 5. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lorenz Dangel (The German Lesson, What Will People Say, The Colony, A Fortunate Man, Hell, The Robber). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 22 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. September 5 is co-written and directed by Tim Fehlbaum and stars Peter Sarsgaard, John Magaro, Ben Chaplin, Leonie Benesch, Georgina Rich, Zinedine Soualem, Corey Johnson, Daniel Adeosun, Marcus Rutherford, Benjamin Walker and Ferdinand Dörfler. The movie is set during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics and follows an American Sports broadcasting team that quickly adapted from sports reporting to live coverage of the Israeli athletes taken hostage. The drama premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters on December 13 by Paramount Pictures before expanding nationwide on January 17.
