Republic Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for Skydance Animation’s feature Spellbound. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is (the end credits version of) The Way It Was Before written by the film’s composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid), featuring lyrics by Glenn Slater and performed by Lauren Spencer Smith. Spellbound is directed by Vicky Jenson and features the voices of Rachel Zegler, John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, Nathan Lane and Tituss Burgess. The animated fantasy adventure will premiere next Friday, November 22 on Netflix.
