Ho-Ling Tang has recently scored the upcoming Netflix documentary series Our Oceans. Composer Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Martian, Kingdom of Heaven) serves as the score producer on the show, which is narrated by President Barack Obama and takes viewers on a 75,000-mile cruise across and beneath the oceans as they are today. The 5-parter is using cutting-edge scientific research and newly-developed underwater filmmaking technology to present some of the most unexplored realms of our planet.Jonathan Smith is the project’s producer. Barack Obama is also executive producing the Wild Space, Freeborne Media and Higher Ground production with Michelle Obama and James Honeyborne (Blue Planet II, Our Living Worlds). Ho-Ling Tang has previously scored several features and shorts, including the Disneynature documentary Bear Witness and has provided additional music to several of Gregson-Williams’ recent scores, including The Last Duel, Polar Bear, Meg 2: The Trench and The Gilded Age. Our Oceans will premiere on November 20, 2024 exclusively on Netflix.

Gregson-Williams has also recently been scoring Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, which will be released in theaters on November 22 by Paramount Pictures. He will also return to co-score the third season of HBO’s The Gilded Age, which is set to premiere in 2025.
