Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for John Woo’s reimagining of his 1989 Hong Kong action classic The Killer. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, A Quiet Place, The Hurt Locker, Ford v. Ferrari, The Wolverine). Also included is the original song Introuvable co-written (with Beltrami, Giampiero Ambrosi, Eloi Painchaud & Buck Sanders) and performed by Jorane and actress Diana Silvers’s rendition of Let’s Live for Today. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 23. The Killer is directed by Woo and stars Nathalie Emmanuel, Omar Sy, Sam Worthington, Silvers, Eric Cantona, Saϊd Taghmaoui, Grégory Montel and Tchéky Karyo. The movie centers on a mysterious and infamous assassin who – during an assignment from her shadowy mentor – refuses to kill a blinded young woman in a Paris nightclub and gets plunged into a sinister criminal conspiracy that will set her on a collision course with her own past. The thriller will premiere on August 23 exclusively on Peacock.
