Writer/director James Gunn has revealed that Clint Mansell (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Moon, Noah, The Fountain, The Wrestler) & Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Clone Wars & The Bad Batch, Narcos: Mexico, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels) are teaming up to score the upcoming Max adult animated original series Creature Commandos. The show is written by Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad) based on DC Characters and features the voices of Steve Agee, Maria Bakalova, Zoe Chao, Anya Chalotra, Frank Grillo, David Harbour, Sean Gunn, Alan Tudyk, Indira Varma and Viola Davis. The DC Studios & Warner Bros. Animation production tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. Gunn is also executive producing the with Peter Safran (Aquaman, The Conjuring), Dean Lorey (Harley Quinn, Big Shot) and Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!, Animaniacs). Mansell & Kiner have previously scored the first season of Gunn’s Max series Peacemaker, as well as DC Studios’ Doom Patrol & Titans. Creature Commandos is set to premiere this December on Max.
Kiner also continues to score Disney+’s Ahsoka, which has been renewed for a second season and AMC’s Dark Winds, which will return for a third season.
