Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, Top Gun: Maverick, Black Adam, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Bad Boys for Life, His Dark Materials) is composing music for the upcoming Netflix animated film Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. The film is directed by Nick Park (Chicken Run, Early Man) & Merlin Crossingham and features the voices of Ben Whitehead, Peter Kay, Reece Shearsmith, Lauren Patel, Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh and Muzz. The movie follows Gromit as he gets concerned that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions, when Wallace invents a “smart” gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own. Mark Burton (Shaun the Sheep Movie, Madagascar) wrote the screenplay. Richard Beek (Early Man) is producing the project. Julian Nott has previously scored the Wallace & Gromit shorts, as well as the first feature, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which also featured additional music by Balfe, among other composers. Balfe has confirmed his involvement on social media. Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl will premiere this coming winter in the UK on BBC and in the U.S. and other international markets on Netflix.
Balfe also has Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning sequel, Season 3 of Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time and Sean Ellis’ The Cut (co-scored with Stuart Michael Thomas) coming up.
