The Newton Brothers (Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Hill House, The Fall of the House of Usher, Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Forever Purge) are currently scoring Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ original series Daredevil: Born Again. The show based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil/Matt Murdoc, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin/Wilson Fisk, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, as well as Deborah Ann Woll, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Genneya Walton, Elden Henson and Wilson Bethel. Dario Scardapane (The Punisher, Memory) serves as the project’s showrunner and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (Synchronic, The Endless) are the lead directors. Scardapane is also executive producing the Marvel Television production with Kevin Feige (Avengers: Endgame, Black Panther), Louis D’Esposito (Loki, WandaVision), Matt Corman and Chris Ord (Cover Affairs, The Brave). The Newton Brothers have previously scored Marvel’s animated series X-Men ’97, which premiered earlier this year will return for a second and third season. John Paesano has composed the music for all three seasons of Marvel’s first Daredevil TV series for Netflix. Daredevil: Born Again is set to debut in March of 2025 on Disney+.
The composers’ other recent projects include Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck, which will premiere this September at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and Chris Stuckmann’s Shelby Oaks, which premiered at this year’s Fantasia Film Festival and has just been picked up by Neon for domestic distribution.
