Naxos has released a soundtrack EP for the Icelandic thriller Natatorium. The 5-track EP features the film’s original score composed by Jacob Groth (The Girl with the Dragon TattooDead Man Down, Unforgettable, Skin Trade, Midnight, Texas). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to all five tracks below. Natatorium is written and directed by Helena Stefánsdóttir and stars Ilmur María Arnarsdóttir, Arnar Dan Kristjánsson, Kristín Pétursdóttir, Elin Petersdottir and Stefania Berndsen. The movie follows a teenage girl who visits her estranged grandparents while waiting for the results of her audition for an international performance group, but when her father and his younger sister find out about her stay, a sense of panic arises and a dark secret emerges. The thriller, which premiered at this year’s Rotterdam Film Festival and also screened at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, opened in Icelandic theaters in February. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
