La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1969 western Death of a Gunfighter directed by Robert Totten & Don Siegel and starring Richard Widmark and Lena Horne. The album, which is being released as part of the Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection , features the film’s original music composed by Oliver Nelson (Zig Zag, Ironside, Night Gallery, The Six Million Dollar Man). Also included is (premiere release of) the composer’s score for the 1970 adventure drama Skullduggery directed by Gordon Douglas and starring Burt Reynolds and Susan Clark. The CD is limited to 1,500 copies and will be available to order on the label’s official website at noon today. Death of a Gunfighter is now available to purchase on DVD and Skullduggery is available on Blu-ray and DVD.
