Composer Thomas Newman (American Beauty, The Shawshank Redemption, 1917, Road to Perdition, Skyfall, Bridge of Spies) is reuniting with director Andrew Stanton on the upcoming sci-fi drama In the Blink of an Eye. The film starring Kate McKinnon, Rashida Jones, Daveed Diggs, Jorge Vargas, Tanaya Beatty & Skywalker Hughes follows three storylines, spanning thousands of years, intersect and reflect on hope, connection and the circle of life. Colby Day (Spaceman) wrote the screenplay. Jared Ian Goldman (Ingrid Goes West, Wilson) is producing the Searchlight Pictures production. Newman has previously collaborated with Stanton on the Pixar features Finding Nemo, Wall-E and Finding Dory. The director’s live-action debut, John Carter, was scored by Michael Giacchino. In the Blink of an Eye is expected to premiere later this year.

Newman’s other recent projects include Marc Forster’s White Bird, which is being released in several international territories this spring and is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on October 4, 2024.
