Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Asphalt City. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nicolas Becker (Sound of Metal, A Prayer Before Dawn, Memory House, Earwig) and Quentin Sirjacq (Brother, I Feel Better, Made in China). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 29 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Asphalt City is directed by Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire and stars Sean Penn, Tye Sheridan, Michael Pitt, Katherine Waterston, Raquel Nave and Mike Tyson. The movie is based on Shannon Burke’s 2008 novel and follows a young paramedic in New York who is paired with a seasoned partner on the night shift and discovers the risks of a job that every day shakes his beliefs about life and death. The thriller premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival (under the title Black Flies) and is being released in U.S. theaters this weekend by Vertical Entertainment and Roadside Attractions.
