Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Blade Runner 2049, The Flash, Shazam!, Hidden Figures, The Invisible Man) has been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi horror thriller Alien: Romulus. The film is directed by Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead) and stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Aileen Wu and Spike Fearn. The movie follows a group of young space colonizers who come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station. Ridley Scott (Gladiator, The Martian) who directed the original Alien, Prometheus & Alien: Covenant, is producing the project with Michael Pruss (Boston Strangler, Equals) and Walter Hill (48 Hrs., Red Heat). Alien: Romulus will be released in theaters nationwide on August 16, 2024 by 20th Century Studios.
Wallfisch also has J.C. Chandor’s Kraven the Hunter (to be released in theaters on August 30, 2024) coming up.
