Oliver Coates (Aftersun, The Stranger, Foe, Occupied City, Significant Other) is the composer of the upcoming Starz/Sky limited series Mary & George. The show is created by D.C. Moore and stars Julianne Moore, Nicholas Galitzine, Tony Curran, Nicola Walker, Niamh Algar, Sean Gilder, Trine Dyrholm, Adrian Rawlins, Laurie Davidson, Mark O’Halloran, Samuel Blenkin and Simon Russell Beale. The 7-part historical psychodrama is inspired by Benjamin Woolley’s nonfiction book The King’s Assassin and tells the true story of a treacherous mother and son who schemed, seduced and killed to conquer the Court of England and the bed of King James I. D.C. & Julianne Moore are also executive producing the Hera Pictures and Sky Studios production with Sam Hoyl, as well as Oliver Hermanus (Living, Moffie) who also directed several episodes. Mary & George will premiere in the U.S. this spring on Starz and in the UK on Sky Atlantic and NOW.
