Composer Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, Frozen, WandaVision, Free Guy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Muppets, The Pink Panther) is reteaming with director Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) on the upcoming action drama Road House. The remake of the Michael Kamen-scored 1989 film of the same title stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Joaquim de Almeida, Jessica Williams, Conor McGregor, Arturo Castro, Lukas Gage, B.K. Cannon, Beau Knapp and Darren Barnet. The movie follows an ex-UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems. Anthony Bagarozzi (The Nice Guys) and Charles Mondry wrote the screenplay. Joel Silver (Die Hard, The Matrix, ) is producing the project for Silver Pictures. Beck has previously collaborated with Liman on the features Edge of Tomorrow and American Made. Volker Bertelmann was originally attached to score the film. Road House will premiere on March 21, 2024 on Prime Video.
