Italian songwriter/music producer Andrea Venerus has made his feature scoring debut on the new sports drama Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia. The film is directed by Stefano Mordini (The Invisible Witness, Steel) and stars Riccardo Scamarcio, Daniel Brühl. Volker Bruch, Esther Garrel, Katie Clarkson-Hill, Giorgio Montanini, Gianmaria Martini and Haley Bennett. The movie is inspired by true events and explores the intense rivalry between Germany (Audi) and Italy (Lancia) at the 1983 Rally World Championships, where Lancia fought to regain its former glory. Mordini & Scamarcio also co-wrote the screenplay with Filippo Bologna (Perfect Strangers). Scamarcio is producing the project with Jeremy Thomas (The Last Emperor, Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence). Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia will be released in select theaters and on VOD this Friday, January 5 by Lionsgate.
