Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Christopher Robin, Disturbia) has recently scored the upcoming Netflix animated film Leo. The movie is directed by Robert Marianetti, Robert Smigel (The Week Of) & David Wachtenheim and features the voices of Adam Sandler, Bill Burr, Jason Alexander, Cecily Strong, Rob Schneider, Sunny Sandler, Sadie Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Nick Swardson, Heidi Gardner, Nicholas Turturro, Jo Koy, Robert Smigel and Stephanie Hsu. The animated musical comedy produced by Happy Madison tells the story of a jaded 74-year-old lizard who has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle, when he learns he only has one year left to live and plans to escape to experience life on the outside. Zanelli has recorded his score this past June at Abbey Road Studios in London. Leo will premiere on November 21, 2023 on Netflix.
Zanelli’s other recent projects include Jeff Celentano’s The Hill (to be released in theaters this Friday, August 25), Michael Hines’ Man & Witch and Pierre Morel’s Freelance. He also recently recorded his score for the animated feature 10 Lives.
