Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Icelandic Netflix original series Katla. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Högni (aka Högni Egilsson) . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Katla is created by Baltasar Kormákur & Sigurjón Kjartansson and stars Guðrún Eyfjörð, Íris Tanja Flygenring, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Aliette Opheim, Sólveig Arnarsdóttir, Þorsteinn Bachmann and Björn Thors. The 8-part sci-fi/mystery drama centers on the eruption of the titular subglacial volcano that turns a nearby community’s world upside down as mysteries begin to emerge from the ice. The series premiered in 2021 and is now available to stream on Netflix.
