La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 2007 action comedy Hot Fuzz co-written and directed by Edgar Wright and starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost,Timothy Dalton and Jim Broadbent. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the film composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Sherlock, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies, Good Omens, Godzilla), including previously unreleased music. The 2-CD set is limited to 1,500 copies and will be available to order on the label’s official website at noon today and will also be available to order on Amazon. (UPDATE: October 6, 2023): A digital version will be available from Back Lot Music (click here to stream/download). Interscope Records has previously released the 2007 original soundtrack album featuring featuring the songs from the movie and a 23-minute score suite, while Back Lot Music & Mondo have released a score album featuring the suite and five additional tracks. Hot Fuzz is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
