Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, Frozen, WandaVision, Edge of Tomorrow, Free Guy, The Hangover, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix animated film Nimona. The movie is directed by Nick Bruno & Troy Quane (Spies in Disguise) and features the voices of Chloë Grace Moretz, Riz Ahmed, Frances Conroy, Eugene Lee Yang, Lorraine Toussaint, Indya Moore, Beck Bennett, RuPaul Charles, Sarah Sherman and Julio Torres. The animated feature is based on the best-selling graphic novel by ND Stevenson and tells the story of a knight framed for a terrible crime who turns to a shape-shifting teenage girl to prove his innocence. Robert L. Baird (Big Hero 6, Monsters University) and Lloyd Taylor (Spies in Disguise) wrote the screenplay. Karen Ryan, Julie Zackary and Roy Lee (It, The Lego Movie) are producing the Annapurna Animation and Netflix Animation production. Nimona will premiere this June on Netflix.
As previously reported, Beck also has Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series Agatha: Coven of Chaos coming up.
