Staatsakt Rec. GmbH has released a soundtrack album for the Chilean/Argentine drama Chile ’76 (1976). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mariá Portugal. Chile ’76 is co-written and directed by Manuela Martelli and stars Aline Kuppenheim, Nicolás Sepúlveda, Hugo Medina and Alejandro Goic. The movie is set during the early days of Augusto Pinochet’s dictatorship and explores one woman’s precarious flirtation with political engagement . The drama, which premiered at last year’s Cannes Directors’ Fornite, is opening in French and UK theaters this week and will be released in select U.S. theaters on April 7 by Kino Lorber.
