Paramount Music will release the first-ever official score album for the 1999 political satire Election co-written and directed by Alexander Payne and starring Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon. The album features the film’s original score composed by Rolfe Kent (Sideways, Up in the Air, About Schmidt, Wedding Crashers, Mean Girls, Downsizing, Freaky Friday), including alternate and unused cues. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 17 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Sire Records has previously released the 1999 original soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie and a track from Kent’s score. Election is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
