Composer Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, I’ll See You in My Dreams, A Teacher, Divorce, The Hero) is reteaming with director Jim Strouse on the upcoming romantic comedy Love Again. The film is written and directed by Strouse (Grace Is Gone, The Winning Season) and stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. The movie is based on the German feature SMS fur Dich, which is itself based on a novel by Sofie Cramer and follows a woman who sends a series of romantic texts to her ex-fiance’s cell phone number, not realizing the number was reassigned to the new work phone of a journalist who is profiling megastar Celine Dion. Basil Iwanyk (John Wick, Sicario), Erica Lee (Bruised, The Informer) and Esther Hornstein are producing the 2.0 Entertainment and Thunder Road Pictures production. Dion has also contributed original songs to the project. Columbia Records will release the official soundtrack album. DeWitt has previously scored Strouse’s last feature, The Incredible Jesssica James. Love Again will be released in theaters nationwide on May 12, 2023 by Screen Gems/Sony Pictures.
DeWitt’s other recent projects include Brittany Snow’s Parachute, which will premiere next month at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival.
