Opening in around 700 theaters for a limited one week run is the Netflix original film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery written and directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn and Kate Hudson. The movie’s original music is composed by Nathan Johnson (Looper, Brick, Nightmare Alley, Don Jon). Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select theaters today before premiering on Prime Video on December 16 is the horror drama Nanny written and directed by Nikyatu Jusu and starring Anna Diop, Michelle Monaghan, Morgan Spector, Sinqua Walls and Rose Decker. The film’s original music is composed by Tanerélle & Bartek Gliniak. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which revolves around an undocumented nanny working for a privileged couple in New York City, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being distributed by Amazon Studios.
Opening in select theaters this week before premiering on Netflix next Friday, December 2 is the romantic drama Lady Chatterley’s Lover directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre and starring Emma Corrin, Jack O’Connell, Ella Hunt, Joely Richardson, Faye Marsay and Matthew Duckett. Isabella Summers (Little Fires Everywhere, The Offer, Call Jane, Physical, Sex/Life) has composed the film’s original music. Opening in New York today before expanding to more markets over the next couple of weeks the documentary All the Beauty and the Bloodshed directed by Laura Poitras about artist and activist Nan Goldin and her personal fight to hold the Sackler family accountable for the overdose crisis. The film’s original music is composed by Soundwalk Collective. No soundtrack album has been announced. The movie premiered at this year’s Venice Film Festival and is being released by Neon.
