Federico Jusid (The Secret In Their Eyes, Watership Down, The Head, Misconduct, Life Itself, Loving Pablo) has been tapped to score the upcoming Amazon limited series The English. The show is written and directed by Hugo Blick (The Honorable Woman, Black Earth Rising) and stars Emily Blunt, Chaske Spencer, Stephen Rea, Valerie Pachner, Rafe Spall, Tom Hughes, Toby Jones and Ciarán Hinds. The 6-part western drama tells the story of an aristocratic Englishwoman and a Pawnee ex-cavalry scout who come together in 1890 middle America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood. Blick and Blunt are also executive producing the Drama Republic production with Greg Brenman (Billy Elliot, The Boys Are Back). The English will premiere in the U.S. on November 11, 2022 on Prime Video, following its November 10 debut in the UK on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Jusid’s other recent projects include the limited series Santa Evita, which premiered earlier this summer and is now available to stream in the U.S. on Hulu.
