Intrada Records has announced two new soundtrack albums for the 1985 sci-fi horror thriller Lifeforce directed by Tobe Hooper and starring Steve Railsback, Peter Firth, Mathilda May, Frank Finlay and Patrick Stewart. The first album features the remastered original score from the film composed Academy Award winner Henry Mancini (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Pink Panther, Santa Claus: The Movie, The Thorn Birds, Charade, The Great Mouse Detective) on 2 CDs (visit the label’s official website for the full album details and to order the soundtrack). The second soundtrack features over 75 minutes of additional music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Die Hard, X-Men, Lethal Weapon, Mr. Holland’s Opus), including the composer’s orchestral score for the movie’s opening sequence.
