Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, Ray Donovan, The Good Shepherd, The Affair, Enough Said) is the composer of the new Hulu original docuseries Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers. The show is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Magnificent Seven) and captures the rise and unprecedented success of one of the most dominant and iconic franchises in professional sports. The 10-parter features exclusive access to the Buss Family (the basketball team’s majority owner) and interviews with players, coaches, and front office execs. Fuqua is also executive producing the project with Lakers CEO and controlling owner Jeanie Buss, Haven Entertainment’s Kevin Mann (Hello, My Name Is Doris, Sneakerheads), Michael Mann & Brendan Bragg (Life Partners), Los Angeles Media Fund’s Jeffrey Soros & Simon Horsman, longtime Lakers senior executive Linda Rambis, as well as Steven Leckart (Challenger: The Final Flight). Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers will premiere on August 15, 2022 exclusively on Hulu.
Zarvos has previously collaborated with Zarvos on numerous projects (including the sports documentaries What’s My Name: Muhammad Ali and The Day Sports Stood Still) and is also scoring the filmmaker’s upcoming thriller Emancipation starring Will Smith.
