Alberto Iglesias (The Constant Gardener, The Kite Runner, Parallel Mothers, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Volver, The Skin I Live In) is set to compose the music for the upcoming western Strange Way of Life (Extraña forma de vida). The short directed by Pedro Almodóvar and starring Ethan Hawke & Pedro Pascal will be shot in English and centers on a man riding on a horse across a desert to Bitter Creek, where he has traveled to visit a Sheriff, with whom he worked together as hired gunmen 25 years earlier. Agustín Almodóvar is producing the project. Iglesias has previously scored all of Almodovar’s features over the last two decades and also composed the music for the director’s last short, The Human Voice. Strange Way of Life is expected to premiere next year.
