Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Extinct. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mick Giacchino (Turkey Hollow, That Dirty Black Bag) with themes written by himself and Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Lost, Star Trek, The Batman, The Incredibles). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 1 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Extinct is directed by David Silverman and features the voices of Adam Devine, Rachel Bloom, Ken Jeong, Zazie Beetz, Jim Jefferies, Catherine O’Hara, Henry Winkler and Alex Borstein. The animated comedy follows two donut-shaped creatures called flummels as they accidentally time-travel from 1835 to modern-day Shanghai where they discover traffic, trans fats, and the fact that flummels have become extinct. The movie premiered last fall and is now available to stream on Netflix.
