Pathé Films has released released new soundtrack albums for two classic French films featuring music by Philippe Sarde (The Tenant, Barocco, Quest for Fire, Lord of the Flies, Ghost Story, Pirates, Nelly & Monsieur Arnaud). Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is the composer’s Academy Award-nominated score for Roman Polanski’s 1979 drama Tess based on Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the d’Urbervilles and starring Nastassja Kinski, Peter Firth, Leigh Lawson, John Collin, Martin, Carolyn Pickles and Richard Pearson, as well his music for Jean-Jacques Annaud’s 1988 adventure drama The Bear (L’ours) based on James Oliver Curwood’s novel The Grizzly King and starring Bart the Bear, Youk the Bear, Tcheky, Karyo, Jack Wallace and Andre Lacombe.
