Composer Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Birds of Prey, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Enola Holmes, Ocean’s 8) is reteaming with writer/director Aaron Sorkin on the upcoming biographical drama Being the Ricardos. The film is written and directed by Sorkin and stars Nicole Kidman as iconic comedienne Lucille Ball and Javier Bardem as her husband Desi Arnaz. Nina Arianda, J.K. Simmons, Tony Hale, Alia Shwkat, Jake Lacy and Clark Gregg are also starring in the movie, which takes place during a week of production of the classic TV show I Love Lucy and explores the relationship between Ball and Arnaz as they face a set of crises that could end both their careers and their marriage. Todd Black (Fences, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), Jason Blumethal & Steve Tisch (The Equalizer, The Pursuit of Happyness, ) are producing the Amazon Studios and Escape Artists production. Pemberton has previously scored Sorkin’s first two directorial efforts, Molly’s Game and The Trial of the Chicago 7 and also composed the music for the Sorkin-scripted Steve Jobs. Being the Ricardos is set to be released this December.
