Premiering today is the Starz original series Heels created by Michael Waldron and stars Stephen Amell, Alexander Ludwig, Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, James Harrison, Allen Maldonado and Chris Bauer. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, CSI: Miami, The Kominsky Method, Step Up All In). Lionsgate Records will release weekly soundtracks featuring Cardoni’s score and other music from the drama. The first soundtrack featuring music from the first episode has just been released today. Premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday, August 18 is the crime drama The Defeated created by Måns Mårlind and starring Taylor Kitsch, Nina Hoss, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael C. Hall, Tuppence Middleton, Mala Emde, Maximilian Ehrenreich, Sebastian Koch and Benjamin Sadler. Chanda Dancy (After We Leave, Pigeon Kings, Dramarama) has composed the show’s original music. Nathaniel Mechaly has previously scored the original version of the series, which premiered overseas under the title Shadowplay. Also premiering on Wednesday is the Hulu limited series Nine Perfect Strangers developed by David E. Kelley & John Henry Butterworth and starring Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Samara Weaving, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone and Manny Jacinto. The show’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (Logan, A Quiet Place, 3:10 to Yuma, Scream, Ford v. Ferrari) and Miles Hankins (The Night Of, Long Shot).
