Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the drama Stillwater. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Little Miss Sunshine, Moneyball, Capote, Onward, The Good Dinosaur, Girl, Interrupted). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 30 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Stillwater is co-written and directed by Tom McCarthy and stars Matt Damon, Camille Cottin, Abigail Breslin, Lilou Siauvaud, Deanna Dunagan, Idir Azougli and Anne Le Ny. The movie follows an American oil-rig roughneck from Oklahoma who travels to Marseille to visit his estranged daughter, in prison for a murder she claims she did not commit. The drama premiered earlier this month at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival and is being released in theaters nationwide this weekend by Focus Features.
