Craig Wedren (Role Models, Wet Hot American Summer, School of Rock, GLOW, How to Be a Latin Lover) & Anna Waronker (Shrill) are the composers of the new CW drama The Republic of Sarah. The show is created by Jeffrey Paul King and stars Stella Baker, Luke Mitchell, Hope Lauren, Nia Holloway, Ian Duff, Forrest Goodluck, Landry Bender, Izabella Alvarez and Megan Follows. The series centers on a rebellious high school history teacher who is faced with the destruction of her town at the hands of a mining company and utilizes an obscure cartographical loophole to declare independence. King is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man, (500) Days of Summer), Mark Martin, Jeff Grosvenor, Irene Litinsky and Leo Pearlman (I Am Bolt). The Republic of Sarah is premiering tonight and will air every Monday on The CW.
Wedren also continues to score NBC’s New Amsterdam, which will return for a fourth and fifth season and Waronker is expected to return to score the second season of Fox’s Call Me Kat.
