Geffen Records will release a new soundtrack album for Cameron Crowe’s 2000 drama Almost Famous starring Kate Hudson, Billy Crudup, Frances McDormand, Jason Lee, Patrick Fugit, Anna Paquin, Fairuza Balk, Noah Taylor and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The album features almost every song from the movie, including several previously unreleased tracks such as all the Stillwater songs written by Crowe, Nancy Wilson (Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, Elizabethtown) and Peter Frampton. Also included is the first-ever release of Wilson’s original score from the movie. The soundtrack will be released as a 5-CD set (visit Amazon to order) and a digital super deluxe edition (click here to order) on July 9, 2021. Also coming out on the same day is a 6-LP set (click here to order), a double vinyl (visit Amazon to pre-order) and a 37-track 2-CD and digital deluxe soundtrack (click here to order) featuring a selection of the 103 tracks of the “super deluxe” release. Almost Famous will also receive a new limited-edition Steelbook and Blu-ray release on July 13.
