Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, Rectify, Rosewood) & Rebeca Kneubuhl (Dawn of the Croods, Sydney to the Max) are teaming up to score the upcoming ABC drama Rebel. The show is created by Krista Vernoff (Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19) and stars Katey Sagal, John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio and Andy Garcia. The series is inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today and follows a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. Vernoff is also executive producing the ABC Signature and Sony Pictures Television production with Alexandre Schmitt, Brockovich herself, John Davis (Predator, I, Robot), John Fox (The Blacklist, Game Night), Andrew Stearn (Shameless, Animal Kingdom), Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man, (500) Days of Summer) and Adam Arkin (Get Shorty). Rebel will premiere on April 8, 2021 on ABC.
Mann also continues to score ABC’s A Million Little Things, which currently airs in its third season Thursday nights, as well as Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical – The Series, which will return for its second season on May 14. Mann & Kneubuhl are also co-scoring CBS’ The Unicorn, which airs in its second season every Thursday night.
